The Chevrolet Blazer sits alone in the 4,500 lbs (2,041 kg) tier. That rating requires the available 3.6L V6 with 308 hp on the RS AWD trim. The standard 2.0L turbo four-cylinder with 228 hp is rated at 3,250 lbs (1,474 kg), enough for two snowmobiles on a tandem trailer.

Every 2026 Blazer sold in Canada is AWD with trailering equipment standard, so the hitch receiver and wiring are already in place from the factory.

Tier Four: Compact SUVs at 1,500 lbs

Five models land at 1,500 lbs (680 kg): the Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain, Buick Envision, Chevrolet Equinox EV and Chevrolet Blazer EV. That covers a small utility trailer, a jet ski or a pair of dirt bikes.
